Feature

UV and two-component coating, which are not heat dried, are becoming increasingly essential as environment-friendly coatings that emit less CO2 during the drying process. On the other hand, UV paints that cure in the paint path due to light or heat are difficult to handle in the coating process. When supplying a two-component catalyst with a high mixing ratio, dispensing small volumes with accurate and precise control is crucial. Ransburg’s newly developed syringe pump is the perfect solution to these difficult challenges that traditional supply systems couldn’t.

Mechanism of continuous supply

The syringe pump unit enables continuous supply of paint, which is indispensable for industrial coating, by alternately driving two pistons with an explosion-proof AC servomotor. While the cylinder-R refills, the paint dispenses through the cylinder-L side and vice versa. This series of tandem operations enables a continuous supply of paint. Supply consistency is achieved by accurately detecting the empty and full position of the piston with a proximity switch and reversing it.

Catalyst Delivery for 2K Mixing (Low Delivery Rate)

The resin is supplied to the static mixer by a flushable gear pump via a suction color change valve with a diaphragm pump. On the other hand, a small amount of catalyst is supplied to the static mixer with high accuracy by a syringe pump. Therefore achieving stable two-component coating.

Single Component Coating

Even for paints that are easy to cure and difficult to supply, the syringe pump, which is accurately controlled by the AC servomotor, realizes stable coating with its unique flushing mechanism in addition to highly accurate paint supply.
