AquaBlock-3

Waterborne Electrostatic Coating Voltage Block System

After bringing you the world’s first waterborne electrostatic coating system, an achievement that would not have been possible without our superior development technology strength and painting technology accumulated over many years, Ransburg now introduces the even more advanced new AquaBlock3 voltage block system.

Overview

Compared to traditional products, great breakthroughs in flow consistency, supply capacity, color change time reduction, usability and all other aspects have been achieved and incorporated into the AquaBlock3.

Ransburg is very proud of the new AquaBlock model developed for environmentally advanced business that aims to strike a balance between environmental protection and economic effectiveness.

  • AquaBlock; continuing the evolution
  • An electrostatic coating system that boasts the highest level of transfer efficiency
  • Conversion to waterborne paint which is environmentally more friendly and produces a more beautiful finish

The AquaBlock3 high voltage block device which is indispensable for waterborne electrostatic painting is made up of 4 blocks;
the ‘supply block’ with fluid inlet, the ‘exhaust block’ with fluid outlet and two other A and B reservoir blocks which are alternately connected between the supply and exhaust blocks. High voltage travels from the applicator via the paint line which has electrical conductivity and is prevented from returning to the waterborne paint supply source.

Features

  • Easy Flow Control
An air drive piston system is used in the reservoirs. Through combination of air control and gear pump operation, unrestricted control of paint supply to the applicator is possible allowing it to be used under a wide range of paint conditions.
  • Dramatic Improvement of Supply Performance
By providing independent paint outlets for each of the A and B reservoirs, paint supply capacity has been dramatically improved in comparison with other conventional types.
  • Realization of Stable Supply Without Disruption or Pulsation
The two reservoirs are controlled so that one is connected to the regular discharge block preventing disruption.
Additionally through adoption of an air drive piston system in the reservoir, a stable paint supply without pulsation has been achieved.
  • Improved Color Change Cleaning Performance
During cleaning when changing colors, the supply block, discharge block and the two A/B reservoirs are all connected allowing them all to be cleaned at the same time. The result is not only superior reduction of color change time but also reduction of cleaning liquid. In addition, the shapes of all paint passages inside the system have been designed so that the paint can be entirely discharged easily, improving cleaning performance by making it difficult for paint to accumulate or cleaning water to be leftover, and greatly reducing the amount of next color paint that is blown through and discarded.
  • Easy Visual Confirmation of Amount of Paint Remaining in Reservoir Piston Rod
As well as ’empty’ and ‘full’ detection of paint in the reservoir using fiber optics (F/O), when needed, visual confirmation of remaining paint amount using the piston rod position is also possible, making it easy to determine the operation situation.
