HAZARD FROM THE HIGH PRESSRE EQUIPMENT
The leak of hoses or the rupture of parts can inject high pressure fluid to your skin or eyes
and result in serious injuries.
■ Check hoses, tubes and fittings daily. The worn, damaged or loosened parts should be
replaced with new one immediately.
■ Check bolts and nuts weekly and fasten the loosened one.
HAZARD FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION
As not being ventilated, flame or sparks can cause fire or explosion.
■ Keep the shop ventilated to prevent from accumulating flammable or toxic gas.
■ Isolate all equipment from electric sources.
■ Remove all flammable material and keep the shop clean.
■ Do not smoke at the shop.
HAZARD FROM TOXIC MATERIAL
If your eyes or skin are exposed to toxic materials, serious damages or death can be
resulted.
■ Wear the protecting gears like goggles, gloves, mask and suits recommended by the
manufacturer of material.

This procedure is for installation of the gear metering module.
Install this equipment according to the instruction and the applicable safety rule.
If you need more information, inquire to Binks.
■ Secure the space for easy access to install this equipment and use specified tools.
■ Locate the stand of gear metering module at 4 anchor bolts on ground.
* Before installation, ground should be flattened and 4 anchor bolts
implanted as a specified Dimensions.
■ Use some spacers in order to keep the equipment horizontal.
Twisted stand(bed) can cause to bend the shaft of trochoid pump and then to damage
or break couplings and pump.
■ If the stand is without leveler, use a spacer or shims like the upper figure.

Notice!
* Before connecting hoses, confirm inlet and outlet each and use the specified tools.
* Do not twist, bend and pull the hoses and cables arbitrarily.
■ Connect the inlet ball v/v of this module to the outlet of the primary pump (ex, RAM pump)
with the specified hose(1) tightly.
■ Connect the outlet ball v/v of this module to the inlet of the next unit or module with
the specified hose(3/4) tightly.

Excessive pressure of fluid and air may cause the serious damage and rupture of components.
Keep the fluid pressure of inlet less than 100kgf/cm² and the air pressure less than 7kgf/cm².
For drain fluid in this module and test operation.
■ Open the inlet & outlet ball v/v and inlet & outlet drain ball v/v, and then confirm it.
■ Let basins to be located under the inlet, outlet drain ball v/v each.
■ Open the air v/v of the primary pump (ex. RAM pump) and then operate it in low speed
in order to transfer the fluid to this equipment.
■ Start the servo motor rpm 200.
Notice!
* While running servo motor, check carefully the abnormal noise like friction noise or clacking noise from
trochoid pump and couplings.
* If you listen the abnormal noises, inquire to Binks immediately.
■ Drain the fluid enough from the inlet drain ball v/v and then close it.
■ Increase the rpm of servo motor gradually to 400.
■ Drain the fluid enough from the outlet drain ball v/v and then close it.
■ Power off the servo motor and close the inlet, outlet ball v/v.
■ Close the air v/v of the primary pump (ex. RAM pump) and stand by.
Notice!
* * The shut off valves of this module is operated by the controller. Therefore when the fluid discharge from
gun, the shut off valves open (ON). When the fluid do not discharge, the shut off valves are closed.
* When the inlet pressure of trochoid pump be needed more than 200 kgf/cm²(bar), inquire to
Binks to fit properly.

Specification
The performance of Trochoid pump for high viscous material is defined as the
differences of pressure (Δp) between inlet and outlet.
Max. (Δp) 300 kgf/cm² (bar)
Recommendable (Δp) 100 kgf/cm² (bar)
Displacement 26 (cc/cyl)
Max. Allowable input torque 20 Nm
■ When (Δp) is over than 400 bar, leakage or malfunction may be caused.
■ In higher viscous condition than 900,000 cps, continuous operation should be done within
1 min. The decline of viscosity by frictional heat can do increase the inner circulation and then
(Δp) may be dropped rapidly.
Notice!
* If input torque of trochoid pump is needed more than 20 Nm, inquire to Binks to fit properly.
