RICO already uses more than 30 LSR dosing machines from Binks. Challenge
RICO Elastomere Projecting GmbH designs, simulates and manufactures injection moulding tools and automation components using the latest CAD and machine tools. The production of high-quality serial parts is another competence of the company. The sampling of the LSR and HTV injection moulding tools as well as their acceptance and customer training are carried out on a large number of injection moulding machines of the latest generation.
Since 2012, RICO has used the reliable LSR systems from Binks for precise and energy-efficient material dosing. In the meantime, more than 30 units of this series are in use at the Thalheim factory. In order to train the apprentices even better, a separate LSR system was purchased for the plastics training workshop. For this purpose, only tested technology from established suppliers, which has proven successful at RICO, was considered. The trainees are already getting to know the best technology, which they will use as professionals in the future.
Solution
The new injection moulding machine for the training workshop is equipped with the latest dosing technology LSR eTwin 200 from Binks. The scoop piston pumps with servo drive ensure highest accuracy and very good energy efficiency. For the apprentices, the compact design, convenient operation and high process reliability are further keys to a high level of training. With the LSR eTwin dosing system, the young specialists use and test the tools and components developed and manufactured by them exactly like specialists. This enables excellent learning effects from the first day.

Since RICO knows the dosing systems from Reinhardt-Technik very well from its own experience, the introduction could be performed inhouse without any problems. As usual from Binks, the installation was completed without delay and the promised performance was achieved from the very first day.
