HAZARD FROM THE HIGH PRESSRE EQUIPMENT
The leak of hoses or the rupture of parts can inject high pressure fluid to your skin or eyes
and result in serious injuries.
■ Check hoses, tubes and fittings daily. The worn, damaged or loosened parts should be
replaced with new one immediately.
■ Check bolts and nuts weekly and fasten the loosened one.
HAZARD FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION
As not being ventilated, flame or sparks can cause fire or explosion.
■ Keep the shop ventilated to prevent from accumulating flammable or toxic gas.
■ Isolate all equipment from electric sources.
■ Remove all flammable material and keep the shop clean.
■ Do not smoke at the shop.
HAZARD FROM TOXIC MATERIAL
If your eyes or skin are exposed to toxic materials, serious damages or death can be
resulted.

This trochoid pump is optimized to be used just for high viscous materials but can be
used for various fluids.
The performance and the efficiency of pump may be decreased slightly in the low
pressure and the low viscous condition.
■ Design information
This trochoid pump is called as Gearotor pump, has trochoidal gearing and the profile
of its rotors are the Epi-trochoid curve.
Rotor hous'g, inner rotor and outer rotor of this pump got precision-made and inner
rotor has 6 teeth, outer rotor 7 teeth and its displacement per revolution is 26 cm³.
This trochoid pump is designed for high pressure and/or high viscosity.
Under high pressure operation, its inner and outer rotor are free from axial forces
and thus keep very smooth running and, low noise generation and best quality.

■ Specification
The performance of Trochoid pump for high viscous material is defined as the
differences of pressure (Δp) between inlet and outlet.
Max. (Δp) 300 kgf/cm² (bar)
Recommendable (Δp) 100 kgf/cm² (bar)
Displacement 26 (cc/rev)

Material : BPR Sealer (900,000 cps)
Test temperature : 24~30°C
Max. Continous working time is within 2min.
Theoretical discharge amount is 594 rpm.
* Practical discharge amount is proportional to the rpm of motor.

To calculate the discharge volume(ccpm) or gpm(gram/min) :
1) In the case of direct driving pump by motor,
ccpm(cc/min) = 26 (cc) x rpm(motor)
gpm(gram/min) = 26 (cc) x rpm(motor) x ν(specific gravity)
2) In the case of using reducer,
ccpm(cc/min) = 26 (cc) x rpm(motor)
ψ(reducing ratio)
gpm(gram/min) = 26 (cc) x rpm(motor) x ν(specific gravity)
ψ(reducing ratio)
ex 1) Calculate discharge volume per minute when motor rpm is 400.
Discharge volume (ccpm) = 26 x 400
= 10,400 cc/min
= 10.4 ℓ/min
ex 2) Calculate discharge weight when motor rpm is 400, reducing ratio 20
and specific gravity of fluid is 1.2.
Discharge weight (gpm) = ( 26 x 400 x 1.2 ) / 20
= 624 g/min
Notice!
* The above chart is restricted to the specified test condition and thus the discharge volume is affected
by not only the viscosity of material (including temperature), but also the differences of pressure(Δp).
* The lower the viscosity and the higher the pressure differences are, the less the discharge volume
can be than theoretical calculation because of inner circulation.
■ Reference table for calculation of the discharge volume per minute(ccpm, gpm)

This procedure is for installation of the Trochoid pump unit.
Install this equipment according to the instruction and the applicable safety rule.
If you need more information, inquire to Binks.
■ The standard model of this trochoid pump has a single feather key at its shaft.
■ Refer the following dimension to design an equipment or system using this Trochoid
pump.
* The allowable input torque of standard model among this Trochoid pump is 250 Nm.
■ The bracket of Binks is recommended for installation.

■ The flexible coupling is recommendable for connecting with motor and reducer.
Rigid connection can cause to mismatch their centers between two shafts of motor and pump.
That results in damage of Trochoid pump.
■ The flatness of stand should keep less than ±0.5mm
■ Check the inlet and outlet of Trochoid pump and connect specified fittings(PT3/4).
■ Connect the drain v/v ass'y to fittings and then connect the hoses to them.
* In some case, the drain v/v can be deleted.
* In some case, the shut off v/v and the ball v/v can be added.

their surfaces.
- Locate 2 Dowel Pins into the hole of FRT Guide and strike them alternately with snaps by
a rubber or plastic hammer.
☞ Refer to page 16.
Notice!
* When inserting 2 Dowel pins, do not strike them forcedly. It can makes pins carved and their scraps
damages Frt & Rr guide and Housing.
■ Assemble 'Sub ass'y-FRT Body' in reverse order of disassembling by bare hands.
- Before reassembling, paste grease enough to U-packing and O-Ring.
☞ Refer to page 14.
■ Assemble 'Sub ass'y-RR Body' in reverse order of disassembling by bare hands and spanner.
- Before reassembling, paste grease enough to U-Packing, O-Ring, Packing Washer and
Bearing.

down rapidly as its temperature become higher.
